Placed first in an urban design competition for the creation of a new heart for the community of Hohenschonhausen in the eastern suburbs of Berlin.

The competition was held following the formation of a public/private joint venture. Accommodation of buildings of historic importance within a context of Soviet–era housing blocks.Creation of a broad range of design recommendations, ranging from urban repair to new public areas.

Detailed proposals for a 30,000m² retail and leisure core, in addition to a covered market and public open space.

Restoration of pedestrian routes

Provision of new tram stop and associated facilities.
