| A public/private joint venture commission by English Cities Fund, in joint venture with Gateshead Council, to produce a comprehensive Development Framework for central Gateshead, with particular focus on the Town Centre. Appointed to lead a large multi–disciplinary team, the study extended into an appraisal of movement throughout the Study Area and an assessment of the likely effect of a number of town centre retail scenarios. Comprehensive urban analysis of the broader study area. |

Controlled consultations and brief–taking following an initial Vision stage Assessment of land use opportunities and assessment of pressures for change. Detailed assessment of Movement in and around the Town Centre. Scheduling of preferred land uses and mix following consultation feedback. Creation of briefing documents for future Town Centre design studies. |
